VGM HQ
This site will no longer be updated as I'm moving this site to a different platform. The platform in question hasn't been decided yet but i'm broke af and i can't afford to be a neocities supporter. The reason why i want to move platforms is because neocities has a whitelist of files that they allow on their site. I made this website to share music i like but i also made it to share my own music which i can't do on neocities.

Mr Gimmick:
Sunsoft is one of the many examples people bring up when talking about the sound capabilities of the NES and this is probably their best sound output. The Japanese version of Gimmick has 2 extra sound channels in the form of the Sunsoft 5B, giving this soundtrack a more full sound than most NES games. It also features the usual Sunsoft bass which is great as usual in this ost. My favourite song from this soundtrack would have to be the stage 1 theme "Happy Birthday". As for the game itself, don't get fooled by this game's cutesey visuals, this game is difficult. When I last played it, I had a lot of fun though which is great.[5:31PM GMT+9:30 12/8/22]
Pinball Dreams
Wow, we sure are covering a lot of pinball games aren't we? Anyway, this is the beatbox theme from Pinball Dreams on the Commodore Amiga. I've personally only played the SNES version of the game but the soundtracks are pretty much identical aside from the Amiga version using slightly higher quality samples. I've only ever played the SNES version and i'm ashamed to admit that i didn't really like the game itself, mainly because the flippers are mapped to the dpad and buttons which I could never get used to. The one thing that I do like about this game though however is the soundtrack. Freaking amazing. Really funky throughout.
